About Konpalondon

What is Konpalondon?

We are a group of young Haitians living in London with years of experience in music and event production. Since 2023 we have been promoting konpa, raboday and all Haitian music genres in the UK, bringing top Haitian international headliners, rising stars and immersive experiences to the city.

Konpalondon Entertainment is a Community Interest Company (CIC), so what we do is driven by community, not just profit. Read more about us.

What is konpa?

Konpa (also written compas) is Haiti’s signature dance music, born in the 1950s. It has a smooth, steady groove and is usually danced in pairs with a relaxed, rolling side-to-side step. Want to go deeper? Explore the subgenres and new artists in our Haiti-UK Hub.

Do I need to be Haitian to come?

Not at all. Our events celebrate Haitian culture, and everyone who loves good music and good energy is welcome. Bring your friends.

What kind of events do you run?

Live concerts, club nights with DJs, day parties, and Konpa Dance Sessions for beginner and intermediate dancers. See photos in the Gallery.

Events & tickets

When is the next event?

Our 2027 programme will be announced soon. Check What’s On for the latest, and register here to be the first to know.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets are sold through our Eventbrite page, on Bizouk (for the convenience of our French-speaking audience) and at the door. Your ticket is sent by email and/or in the relevant app, so just show it on your phone when you arrive.

How can I get presale or early-bird tickets?

Leave your email on our Stay in touch page and join our WhatsApp channel. Presale links and early-bird releases go there first.

Where are your events held?

We use different venues across London depending on the event, and we choose places that are easy to reach, such as central London, Camden and Brixton. The full address and travel details are always on the event listing pages.

Is there an age limit?

It depends on the venue and the event. The age policy is listed on each event’s Eventbrite page. For late-night club events, please bring valid photo ID.

Can I get a refund if I can’t make it?

Refunds follow the policy shown on each event’s Eventbrite listing. If something comes up, email us at infokonpalondon@gmail.com with your order number and we will do our best to help.

What time should I arrive?

Doors and finish times are on each listing. Popular nights get busy and queues build, so arriving early is the best way to get in quickly and catch the full set.

Dancing

I don’t know how to dance konpa. Should I still come?

Yes! Konpa is one of the easiest Caribbean dances to pick up, and our crowd is friendly. You do not need to know anything beforehand, because you can learn as you go. If you would like a head start, look out for our Konpa Dance Sessions when they are scheduled.

Do you run dance classes?

Yes. Our Konpa Dance Sessions are made for complete beginners and intermediate dancers, and you will leave knowing the basic step. Come alone or bring a friend. New dates are shared on Instagram and our WhatsApp channel.

Can my brand or business partner with you?

Yes. We work with venues, sponsors, media and community organisations. Email infokonpalondon@gmail.com and tell us what you have in mind.
